Welcome to the event schedule and directory for the 13th Annual Salt Lake County Watershed Symposium, November 20-21, 2019. Free and open to all, the Symposium encourages a comprehensive review of the current state of our watershed while creating learning and networking opportunities for a broad array of stakeholders. Sessions cover a broad range of topics on water quality and watershed issues with local, regional, and national relevance. Hosted by Salt Lake County Watershed Planning & Restoration.

Environmental & Water Optimization Program Manager
Jay is a 4th generation rancher and farmer with a Bachelor Degree in Animal Science. He lives in Ephraim, Utah with his wife, Tawny. They are the proud parents of ten children and seventeen grandchildren; his greatest accomplishment. In 2012, Jay accepted a job offer from the Commissioner of the Utah Department of Agriculture and Food, where he is currently employed as the Environmental Program Manager, and the Agriculture Water Optimization Grant Program Manager. He is on multiple committees including: Sanpitch Watershed Stewardship Group, and Sanpete Water Conservancy District. He formerly served on EPA’s Farm Ranch Rural Community Committee, County Farm Bureau President/board member, Utah Water Quality Board, and Ephraim Irrigation board member.
