Welcome to the event schedule and directory for the 13th Annual Salt Lake County Watershed Symposium, November 20-21, 2019. Free and open to all, the Symposium encourages a comprehensive review of the current state of our watershed while creating learning and networking opportunities for a broad array of stakeholders. Sessions cover a broad range of topics on water quality and watershed issues with local, regional, and national relevance. Hosted by Salt Lake County Watershed Planning & Restoration.

Royal DeLegge has served as Environmental Health Director for the Salt Lake County Health Department since August 1999. Previously, Royal served as Director of Environmental Health for the Winnebago County Health Department in Rockford, Illinois and before that held various positions at the DuPage County Health Department in the Chicago metropolitan area.

He holds a BS in Biology from Illinois State University, MPA from Northern Illinois University, and PhD in Public Policy & Administration from Walden University.

Royal has also worked for more than six years as an Adjunct Professor of Public Health teaching courses in the School of Nursing and Health Sciences’ Master of Public Health program at Westminster College in Salt Lake City.

He currently serves on the Boards of the Utah Climate Action Network, Wasatch Clean Air Network, and as Chairman of the Board of Trustees and CEO for the Utah Clean Cities Coalition and as Chair of the Food Safety Committee for the Utah Conference of Environmental Health Administrators.
